Beverly Coble Misreported Campaign Expenses in Official Filings

RANDLEMAN, NC — Newly uncovered discrepancies in official campaign finance filings reveal that Ms. Coble, while serving as treasurer for a political campaign, reported expenses that appear to have never actually occurred. Among the misrepresented expenses, Coble claimed the campaign spent money on Facebook advertising, yet a review of Facebook’s Ad Library—an official record of all paid political ads—shows no such ads were ever run during that election.

Misreporting campaign finances is a serious issue that raises concerns about Coble’s transparency and integrity. Campaign finance laws exist to ensure accountability, and falsely claiming expenses misleads both the public and regulatory authorities. These findings call into question Coble’s judgment and honesty as she seeks the trust of Randleman’s voters.

“The people of Randleman deserve leaders who tell the truth,” said Clayton Ballentine, a spokesperson for AnybodyButCoble.org. “Falsifying campaign finance records isn’t just dishonest—it’s a betrayal of the public’s trust. If Ms. Coble can’t be honest about something as basic as campaign spending, how can we trust her to be honest as mayor?”

Coble’s failure to accurately report campaign finances leaves voters with an important question: if she is willing to misrepresent something as straightforward as campaign spending, what else is she willing to mislead the public about?
