Beverly Coble Exploits Family Tragedy to Silence Criticism

RANDLEMAN, NC – Mayoral candidate Beverly Coble showed a shocking lack of compassion when she used a grieving son’s personal tragedy to deflect criticism of her chosen candidate.
A local resident, whose father was hospitalized with cancer at the time, raised concerns about the candidate’s conduct in office. Rather than addressing the issues, Coble responded with a cruel and dismissive remark:
“I would think with your father fighting for his life right now you would have him on your mind instead of [redacted].”
Shortly after Coble’s comments, the man’s father passed away.
Instead of engaging in an open discussion about the concerns raised, Coble chose to exploit a family’s pain to shut down criticism. This kind of political maneuvering is a disgrace and raises serious questions about the type of leadership she would bring to Randleman.
“This is who Beverly Coble really is,” said Clayton Ballentine, spokesperson for AnybodyButCoble.org. “Instead of answering for the conduct of the people she supports, she attacks a man whose father was fighting for his life. That’s not leadership—it’s cruelty. Randleman deserves better.”
The people of Randleman deserve a mayor who leads with integrity and respect—not one who weaponizes personal tragedy for political convenience.
