AnybodyButCoble.org Responds to Contradictory Statements by Beverly Coble

Randleman, NC — AnybodyButCoble.org, a platform dedicated to transparency and accountability in public leadership, is addressing a series of troubling inconsistencies in statements made by Beverly Coble concerning her claims against the website’s founder, Clayton Ballentine.
Contradictory Statements About Perceived Threats
In sworn testimony submitted as part of her 50C restraining order filing, Ms. Coble stated she “believed” Mr. Ballentine would “seek out and try to harm” her, using this claim to justify her legal action aimed at silencing the website. However, just weeks later, Ms. Coble posted on Facebook that she “knows” Mr. Ballentine would “run the other direction” if he “saw her in public.” This direct contradiction raises serious concerns about the credibility of her testimony and her true perception of Mr. Ballentine.
“This contradiction speaks volumes,” said Clayton Ballentine, founder of AnybodyButCoble.org. “In court, she presented me as a threat. On Facebook, she admitted that she believes I would avoid her entirely. These conflicting statements reveal the baselessness of her accusations.”
Contradictions in Actions and Statements
Further undermining her sworn testimony, Ms. Coble claimed under oath that she was “doing [her] very best to avoid” Mr. Ballentine. Yet, just weeks later, she tagged him in a Facebook post threatening further legal action. This behavior not only contradicts her claims of avoiding him but also suggests an attempt to provoke or escalate the situation.
Ms. Coble also testified under oath that Mr. Ballentine’s efforts with AnybodyButCoble.org were designed to “discredit [her] abilities as a volunteer GAL (Guardian ad Litem) in Randolph County.” However, she later claimed on Facebook that his motivations stemmed from her support of Sheriff Seabolt and her volunteer work on his campaign. These contradictory explanations further call into question the sincerity and truthfulness of her claims.

“This pattern of inconsistency is troubling,” Ballentine continued. “Ms. Coble has used the court system and public platforms to make conflicting statements, each tailored to serve her narrative at the time. The truth is, AnybodyButCoble.org exists to hold public figures accountable.”
AnybodyButCoble.org was founded to advocate for transparency and accountability in leadership, and this incident underscores the importance of standing up against attempts to misuse the legal system to suppress dissent and misrepresent motives.
